"At Provision Analytics, we recognize the profound impact that AI can have on our world and our lives. We also acknowledge the responsibility we have to develop AI solutions that respect the rule of law, human rights, and democratic values. We have therefore committed to these eight principles of responsible AI."
AI systems must be developed to respect the rule of law, human rights, and democratic values. The use of AI systems must not go beyond what is necessary to achieve a legitimate aim.
Artificial Intelligence must be developed and used in a manner that is fair, unbiased, and inclusive. We must actively work to identify and mitigate biases in AI systems, ensuring that they do not perpetuate or exacerbate inequalities among individuals or groups.
AI systems must protect the privacy and data of individuals. We must comply with all applicable data protection and privacy laws and adhere to industry best practices for handling private and sensitive data.
To foster trust and human agency, we must be open about when and where we use AI to interact with our customers, so they have a clear understanding of our AI systems and are provided appropriate control over their interactions with AI and its use of their data.
Individuals should be meaningfully informed when they are subject to a decision that is made based on AI systems. They should have access to the reasons for a decision and the logic involved presented in a manner that is understandable to them.
We hold ourselves accountable for the ethical use of and outcomes generated by AI systems. We will not relinquish any decisions or interactions to AI without our oversight and accountability.
AI systems should be designed, developed, and deployed to ensure they operate safely, perform reliably as intended, and remain impervious to unauthorized breaches.
AI systems must be developed in a manner that promotes environmental and social sustainability, minimizing negative impacts on the environment and communities.
We recommend and develop solutions that are compliant with the most stringent policies related to the protection of personal data. These include the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), California's Consumer Privacy Act, and emerging state and federal regulations. Read more here:
US Government has published an Executive Order on AI which established a framework for managing AI risks for all federal agencies and entities receiving federal funding. In addition, the EU has published the EU AI Act which sets policies for the ethical use of AI across the European Union.
Let us help you create your own AI Ethics policy and define the best practices you'll need to fulfill your commitment to the ethical, compliant, and responsible use of AI.
